Hello! My name is Jess Stoeger, and I am thrilled to join Dodgen Middle School this coming year!
As a military brat, I grew up all over the world but claim Ludlow, Massachusetts as my hometown. That's right, I'm technically a Yankee, but I prefer to think of myself as a citizen of the world. I currently live in Kennesaw with my son, Nicholas, my sister & her dog (on occasion), my faithful yellow Lab, two cats, and a couple fish tanks.
I earned a BS in Interdisciplinary Sciences from Park University, a Masters in Management from the University of Phoenix, and most recently earned a BS in Middle Grades Education focusing on English Language Arts and Social Studies from Kennesaw State University.
I spent 20 years as an Active Duty member of the Air Force where I traveled around the world and spent my time training my subordinates and helping them to find their passion. My purpose was help them use their time in the military to achieve their personal and professional goals. I chose teaching as my second career because I wanted to continue serving my community. I enjoy reading, writing, talking about reading and writing and there's no better place to do that that with middle school students. This year, I am excited to be sharing my love of reading and writing with my students and will be teaching English Language Arts and ELA Success Block.
I am an avid reader and have enjoyed spending time this summer catching up on my TBR pile and participating in virtual book clubs. I love watching movies, listening to music, being creative and spending time with my family. I also enjoy spending time outside when my allergies aren't trying to kill me, lol.
